Date night part 2

Date night plus two

Today mommy and daddy were working on the house (more on this later). The kids did great for having to stay inside this beautiful day. So to reward them we took them out on a date to eat and play. We went to Chick-fil-a to eat and then let them play on their jungle gym.

Having a Bubbly Time

We got out today and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I got out a huge tub, filled it with bubbles and let the kids go to town.

Sunday's Travel

On Sunday we had to say goodbye to Grammy and Pop.  We headed out towards Asheboro to meet Mamaw, Papaw, Aunt Stacy, Aaden and Bentley for lunch.  After lunch we picked up Trapper.  Poor guy has been away now for almost 3 weeks (actually I should say poor Mamaw and Papaw!  B/c they were the ones that had to watch him.).  After we picked him up (played a little) we headed home.  It was a wonderful weekend.  Just hate it was such a short visit with everyone due to a packed schedule. 

Kim and Roger's Wedding

Aunt Kim and (now) Uncle Roger's Wedding took place Saturday at 2pm.  It was beautiful.  Callie was a flower girl and she did terrific.  Bella and Cooper (Jill's two oldest) were also in the wedding as a flower girl and ring bearer.  I was honored to be able to sing.  It was a beautiful ceremony!  During the wedding Kim was brilliant enough to have set up a nursery for the guests that had young kids.  Maddie, Zack and Cayden were there during the ceremony and then joined us for the pictures and reception.  Michael and I discovered that our two are more like us than we knew.  As soon as the music started playing the two started dancing.  They didn't want to stop.  In fact we had to pull them off the dance floor kicking and screaming when the special dances took place (i.e. Bride/Groom 1st dance, parent dance, etc.).  They did such a GREAT job for not having a nap.  We all had a GREAT time.  It was wonderful to get to see family that we rarely get to see.  We got to see Uncle Bill along with Michael's cousins Jill, Erin, Bethany, and Vann.  In fact we hadn't seen them so long that this was the first time we got to meet Jill and Erin's kids and they haven't met the twins either.  We just hated that it had to be a short visit (they had a 12 + hour drive).

After the wedding we headed back to Grammy & Pop's house to get ready for the big game (UNC vs. Dook).  We were of course decked out in all our Tarheel garb.  I think Grammy was surprised at how much we have already influenced the twins, because during the game we kept chanting with Maddie the "Tar" "Heels cheer.  For those that don't know what I'm talking about during a game one side of the crowd yells Tar and then the other yells Heels.  It was a great night b/c the Heels whooped up on them devils!!

Friday Play

This past weekend we took a trip to Jacksonville.  We were excited to be attending Aunt Kim's Wedding.  We got to Grammy and Pop's house around 1pm and waiting there for us was Aunt Amy, Uncle Michael, Callie and Cayden, and Pop (Grammy was at the church decorating).  Shortly we were joined by Grampy and Grandma.  We played hard for a while.  Then mommy, Aunt Amy, and Callie left to go to the rehearsal while the boys and Maddie took a nap.  When we got back the kids played hard again until it was time to go to bed.

Well Hello March

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful! It was nearly 80 degrees. I'm sure with the sun it might just have felt like it. I thought since we had gorgeous weather we had better take advantage. We broke out our new bubble machines we got for Valentine's Day. The kids LOVED it! In fact we had other kids coming into our yard to play with the bubbles.
