Our Weekend

We had a very busy and relaxing weekend.  On Friday we headed out of Dodge.  We spent the night at Mamaw and Papaw's house.  Thank you Mamaw and Papaw for dinner and for watching Trapper!  Then Saturday morning we were up early and we were off again.  This time we went to Grampy and Grandma's house.  Michael and I dropped off the kids and we headed off to North Myrtle Beach.  It was a get-a-way for just us two.  It was some ups and downs to our vacation (as I write this, it is very sarcastic "bad" so don't think I didn't have a WONDERFUL time).  An up - we got to go out dancing...a down - it was Duke's end of year (maybe graduation) trip, so our hotel was filled with Dookies.  Not just our hotel but every hotel/condo within a few miles of us.  An up - we had fun and enjoyed ourselves, especially indulged in some wonderful food (I now have to go on a diet).  A down - it rained most of the beach trip, except one part of the day on Sunday.  However when we were out on the beach we got ran off by Dookies when they were playing football and soccer, because we kept getting hit by either a soccer ball or football.  I kid about how bad it was...really we had a wonderful time.  It was nice to enjoy quality time with my wonderful husband.  I even got my mother's day gift early.  More on this later!

The kids had a blast.  They got to go out on Grampy's boat, they took a trip to the Aquarium, and just loved playing with Grampy and Grandma.  Thank you Grampy and Grandma for watching the kids for a few days and allowing mommy and daddy to have some quality time.
