My Little Gardners

As I mentioned earlier we have built a raised garden bed.  It isn't very big.  It is only 7 1/2 X 4.  I decided to put a few things in, tomatoes, zucchini, squash, bell peppers and some cucumbers.  Yesterday I got out during the kids nap time and planted most of them, but left out a couple of cucumbers to let them plant those.  They enjoyed playing in the dirt, but the REALLY enjoyed watering the plants with their adorable duck watering cans!

Shopping With Auntie Crystal

On Tuesday we had a special visit from Aunt Crystal.  So glad she decided to play hooky!  We went to Bass Pro to get a life jacket for Maddie.  While we were there we saw the giant fishes.  There were several that was at least double the size of the kids.  We had a blast.  Thanks for visiting with us Aunt Crystal!!

Our Weekend

I have been having problems posting with using my normal email way, so these are posts that I had written, but haven't been going through.

Last weekend we got a visit from Mamaw and Papaw.  Mamaw came Friday night so we went out to eat with the kids.  Mike had to go out of town for a business team building trip, so I asked Mamaw and Papaw to come and help with the kids since I had to sing on Saturday.  Saturday we had the Picnic in the Grass with church and the kids just had a blast playing.  After naps Mamaw and I went to Lowe's to get a few building materials and veggies to build a small raised vegetable bed.  While the kids were eating Papaw and I put the bed together and threw dirt in the bed.  We waited to plant the veggies since we were expected to get some frost later in the week.  Sunday we woke up and went to church.  After church we played and played.  After naps we had to say bye-bye to Mamaw and Papaw.  Thank you so much!  We love you!!

Picnic in the Grass

Our church held their annual Picnic in the Grass today.  They asked soloists to sign up for a 15 minute time slot, so I sang 4 songs from 11:45 am - 12pm today.  They had some games and other fun things for the kids to do, and they handed out free hotdogs and chips.  Talk about an awesome event!!!!

School Feild Trip to Lazy 5

Yesterday morning we had a field trip to Lazy 5 Ranch with the kids' preschool.  They loved it!  Zack especially just loves animals.  We saw so many animals.  We saw giraffes, buffalo, camels, zebras, deer, goats, ostrich, emu, rhino, and many more...I didn't get a chance to get the best pictures.  It was really hard holding two kids, help feed the animals and also take pictures.  We have a chance to go back this coming Friday with MOPS...I think we might just have to go as long as the weather is good.
