Chompers Galore!

Teeth are popping up everywhere!! Maddie now has both her bottom front teeth and as of this morning Zack's bottom front teeth have broken through. Poor thing he is in so much pain. I took him to the doctor's office yesterday due to a pesky cough that hasn't gone away. Well it turns out that he has a double ear infection, which I believe is a result from those teeth.

So, my kids are just growing so much in front of me.

Easter and 8 month portraits

Today was a task!! I had debated on putting these up this early, but I was so happy how they turned out, that I had to put them up. We went to get portraits done. I wanted some Easter pics and 8 months shots. I went today instead of a weekend b/c I thought we would have more time. We had the time, but I was all alone doing it. A task!! Please enjoy the pictures!!

King size weekend!

This past weekend we had a few visitors. On Friday afternoon Auntie Crystal came up to hang out with us. Then Saturday morning Mamaw and Papaw came up. They brought up our new bed. We were sleeping on a Double. While yes it was plenty of room (except when I was pregnant), we wanted to eventually go up a size or two when the kids were older and if they had nightmares, etc. Well, the furniture company where my mom works was having a STEAL of a deal on beds. We decided to go to the King. So we doubled our bed size. So Saturday morning we moved out the old and put in the new. It is so huge!!After the moving of furniture us ladies went shopping. While the men stayed and watched the kids. After the shopping extravaganza we came home and had an awesome meal. Sunday, we went to church and then took advantage of the weather and went for a walk. Mom took a few pictures with her camera, but I didn't get any with mine, so I'll put those up later. After that we said goodbye. Thanks Crystal, Mamaw and Papaw. We love you!!Below are a few pics over the weekend. Enjoy!!

Ladies and Gentlemen

We have a tooth!! For the last week I have been able to see Maddie's front two bottom teeth, but they haven't broken through. But yesterday, when I went to do my daily check, I felt a sharp little tooth. So we officially have a tooth. It won't be long and the other will be in also.

Zack's teeth haven't come in yet, but I don't think it will be much longer. His gums look like Maddie's did about a week ago.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

My Walking Buddies

I am LOVING this weather! So are the twins. The last few days, since it has been so beautiful outside, we have gone for a little walk. Today I made sure to put them in their hats and sunglasses. They are the cutest!!

7 months

Today the twins are 7 months old. I think I write this every month, but I really can't believe how fast time is flying! Their personalities are really starting to show. It is so funny how they are night and day, even though they are twins.

Maddie...oh my Maddie. Maddie is very strong willed. She is very particular about how she wants things and when she wants them. When it is time to be fed (food) she only allows either mommy or daddy to feed her. Mamaw, Aunt Sharon, Sarah, and even Erica have all tried to feed her once, but she just spat it back out at them. Maddie has learned that she can roll anywhere! And she will!! She LOVES to jump. If you are holding her, she will make you bounce her. She also is very curious and loves to try anything she see's mommy doing. (Note to self, make sure you don't do anything you don't want Maddie doing). She likes drinking out of my glass. I'm not even sure she is drinking or just playing in my water, but she has to drink from my cup if she is near me and sees me drinking. She also loves to read. If she is extremely upset, I have found that showing her a book and reading it to her will calm her down.

Zack: Zack is the happiest and calmest baby! If you make eye contact with him (even strangers) he will immediately light up and giggle. He only cries if he is hungry, but he gives me a good 5 minutes of "warning" grunts before he starts to cry. He is starting to bounce now. Before he would just stand in the bouncers, but now he is really getting into it. Michael and I believe he is going to be left-handed. He reaches for things with his left hand, he shakes toys first with his left hand and he feeds himself (mum-mums) using his left hand. Zack also is getting really good at sitting. Actually while I took all these pictures (believe me there were a lot) he sat up extremely well and didn't fall at all. Another thing Zack does is squeal. The way he squeals is what is funny. He breathes in really fast and it makes a high pitched squeal, and a lot of times he does it so much it will make him start coughing. This is his happy noise. Zack also likes to read. Every morning we sit them down and they watch Your Baby Can Read and as soon as he hears the music he just lights up. If he has book in his reach, he will start playing with it as well.

Family Visits

This past week and weekend I got completely spoiled. Tuesday night on my birthday I got a date with hubby. Thank you so much Jeff and Patti! Then Mamaw and Great-Aunt Sharon came up Friday night (Poor Papaw couldn't make it, he came down with the stomach flu and a head cold). So Michael and I went out dancing that night. We had the Craig Woolard Band in RR and so we went shagging (Carolina Swing Dance). I haven't been out dancing in so long and I so could tell. I am so out of shape.

Saturday we had more family to come and visit. We had Gram and Pop come for a short visit as well. After they left us girls went out shopping and left Michael to watch the kids. Later that evening Mamaw took us out for a birthday dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. Then I had another date with my hubby. That is right 3 date nights in one week. I definitely got spoiled!! Thank you so much Mamaw and Aunt Sharon!

All good things must come to an end. After church on Sunday Mamaw and Great Aunt Sharon left. Michael and I watched the American/Canadian hockey game and enjoyed hanging out with the kids. This coming week is going to be very laid back with no plans. I am getting excited that they are calling for "Spring" weather this weekend and I am hoping to take a walk with the twins.
