Happy Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day! We are officially back home tonight. We had a great weekend and one crazy week, but like my title says The Hectic life of the Nowell's! The next few months are going to be quite busy! We have several people coming up for visits. In a week and a half Mike and I are taking an adults only vacation to Nashville for the CMA Festival (I cannot wait for this trip). Then we are going to be on the road a LOT!! We will be visiting our friends in Warrenton who had their first child a few weeks ago, then we are back in Asheboro to celebrate Uncle Dean's birthday and Bentley's baby dedication. Then the week after that is our trip to Myrtle for the 4th of July. I think so far that is our Calendar until August. So I will have a lot to write about in the next month or so.

Roasting Marshmallows

Saturday night we all gathered around mom and dad's fire pit to roast marshmallows and eat smores. It was fun and yummy!! I have pictures, but they are on Stacy's camera and as soon as she downloads them I will add them to the blog.

Zack or Maddie didn't really care for the smores. All they wanted was marshmallows.

After a week with four kids I got out of the house with Dean, Crystal, Stacy, and Michael. We went out bowling. It was fun!

Bandaid

This week the kids and I are in Asheboro watching my nephews while Stacy finishes up her externship. Today once all the adults got home they took the kids out to play on the slides while I stayed indoors to regain my sanity. Apparently poor Maddie either got stung or bit by something on her hand. So she came in and was pretty upset the rest of the night (don't worry, by the end of the night she was hamming up the attention). She received a bath which took the bandaid off so right before she went to bed she HAD to have another. This time Zack saw and he HAD to have a bandaid which Aaden saw so he HAD to have a bandaid. It was so cute!

Sunday School Outing

Today our Sunday school class had a family outing at Patterson Farms picking strawberries. Since we had gone before the kids knew exactly what to do. After picking we had a really nice picnic with all the other members and their families. We had a great afternoon. Mike and I really enjoy this class and there are some very friendly/fun couples in the class. I believe this class will be the reason we join this church if we do end up joining. Enjoy the few pics I snapped with my phone.

Maddie Doc Update

So sorry for the delay. My internet was down.

I have good news to report. Maddie gained a pound this month, so no tubes/cameras. WoooHoo!! Praise the Lord!! So....our next step is to keep giving her meds to help increase her appetite and make sure it keeps on working. We go back in two months to see where we are and eventually ween her off her meds.

Zack's E,N,T follow up

Zack had a follow up appointment today at the E,N &T. His ears are now back to 100%. So thank you for all the prayers.

Tomorrow is Maddie's follow up with the gastrointestinal specialist. We are hoping she has gained weight (think heavy). If she hasn't gained enough weight they will be wanting to stick a camera down her throat and possible tubes. So if you can...please at 9:30am say a simple prayer for her. I will update the blog tomorrow. Thank you!!!

We love to dance

I took this video a few weeks ago and am just now getting around to posting. I know in the past I have talked about how much Zack likes to dance, well Maddie is now getting into it to. Please excuse the messy house.

Mommy's little helper

A day ago Zack watched me sweep. Now he will not let the broom go. He even pulled it up on the couch with him.

Strawberry Picking

Today the MOPS took a field trip to Patterson Farms for strawberry picking. It was a lot of fun. First, they had a little puppet show. Then they gave all the kids feed to feed the animals. Poor Zack got a little spooked from a chicken flapping his wings at him and crowing. After that we went and planted beans, which we got to keep. There was a tractor ride and after all that we picked the strawberries. I think the kids enjoyed it.

My Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's day! We all woke up early so we can get to early service at church. Daddy made the kiddos pancakes for me while he made me a milkshake. The kids had a sweet card for me and they all got me a Mother's Day set from Philosophy, which is my favorite perfume. After church we headed to Salisbury to meet Mamaw and Papaw for lunch at Outback. After lunch we said our goodbyes and then came home to hang out. I also got to watch another chick flick, You Again. It was cute. Thank you to my wonderful family for a great day!!

MOPS friend party

Today we were invited to a birthday party for the other set of twins in MOPS. It was a lot of fun! Sarah and Emily were the birthday girls. They had a bouncy castle, sandbox, and lots of yummy food!

Last weekend Pics

I'm finally getting around to posting pics from Cayden's birthday party. I only got outside shots due to my camera is still broke. I will send it in one of these days!

Weekly Update

I am so sorry I have been so lazy when it comes to writing this week. First, I want to report on Zack. He is feeling much better. We had an appointment to E,N,T yesterday and it turns out that the right ear is fine, but now his left ear is infected. I tell you that poor boy. My mom brought up a great question..."Isn't the reason we got the tubes put in was to stop the ear infections?" Yes my thoughts exactly!! We are hoping with some ear drops and an antibiotic the infection will go away.

Last night Mike and I got out of the house for date night. We went to Eez Sushi for dinner and then went to a movie. The hubby treated me to a chick flick and we went to watch one of my favorite books turned movie, Something Borrowed. It was so good!! It was very close to the book and I'm hoping it does really well because there is a book sequel and if the movie does well they are going to do the sequel on film. So everyone go watch it so they will do the sequel!!! It really was so good!

So...I think I might get on the phone a little more than I should? The kids are always acting like mom.
