CMA Fest Day 3

Day 3 was a very long day for us. We got up early and headed to City of Hope Celebrity Softball game. There were several country stars there along with ball players and an Ice skater. Some of the famous names you might recognize are Scott Hamilton, Brantley Gilbert, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Raelynn (from the voice), Robin Meade, Vince Gill, David Nail, Carrie Underwood and many more! It was hilarious to watch the game. A water balloon fight broke out during the game, they would wrestle players to score runs and just be all around funny. Poor David Nail (country singer) was having an amazing game (I mean some amazing catches in the outfield) until he dove for a catch and broke his finger. The only disappointment I had this year is they didn't do any autographs were as last year they did. They didn't allow any before the game or during (which is when we got all of ours last year). And then it was too hot for them (the stars) to stay sign after the game. After the game we went and found some food. We stopped at this gourmet Mexican restaurant which was really good. We then did some sight seeing. We went to the Parthenon, (no I'm not crazy, Nashville has a replica. Same scale and all) and then drove around. We were so exhausted from lack of sleep and sun that we decided to go back to the hotel room and nap.

The night concerts at LP were Kenny Rogers, Hunter Hayes, Rodney Atkins (he was a surprise), Love and Theft, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Kip Moore, Faith Hill and Luke Bryan. The host of the night was Melissa Peterman, she is a funny gal! Our favorites of the night were Eric Churh and Luke Bryan. In fact Luke Bryan was so great that we all voted him the best of the week so far. He was just amazing. He sang for a whole hour and got the crowd into it by singing not only his songs but also Bieber, Adele and Hank Williams. He was just an amazing performer! After the concerts were over we tried out a piano bar. Day 3 was my favorite so far. We shall see how day 4, the final day stacks up.
